KMUK donates motorcycle to SERV
Having taken a keen interest for some time in the work of the SERV medical support charity, Kawasaki Motors UK recently donated a motorcycle to the local branch of the organisation.
Staffed entirely by volunteers, SERV undertakes essential work in the community delivering urgently needed blood supplies between hospitals using motorcycles and cars.
With volunteers covering their own fuel expenses and giving of their time freely, the charity is naturally keen to increase its fleet of smartly liveried motorcycles.
“We had previously lent SERV a ZZR600 motorcycle and it quickly became one of the most requested bikes on their fleet as it combined manoeuvrability, speed and comfort.
Now that the initial loan period has come to an end, we are happy to donate the machine to play a part in their important and often unsung work”, said Michael Johnstone, Sales and Marketing Manager of Kawasaki Motors UK.
Handing over the machine to Danny Bateman, Publicity Co-ordinator for SERV Oxon, Bucks, Northants & Berks region at the recent Silverstone British Superbike event, the charity welcomed the addition to their fleet.
“Our work is mostly at night and often in inclement weather. The ZZR600 has been used extensively in all conditions and has always come back for more. It has become a stalwart of the fleet and we look forward to putting many more miles under its wheels over the next few years”, commented Danny.
